What You Can Expect From Me

Mission & Commitment

Mission statements and business goals are only as good as the follow-through behind them.

At The P.E.T. Impact, I strive to stay focused on one simple goal: improving the lives of dogs and the humans who love them.
That commitment carries through every part of my work—whether I’m supporting an individual client and their dog, coaching a group of teams in class, or helping a rescue or shelter dog prepare for a better future.

Every dog is an individual. Every human-dog relationship is different. My goal is to provide thoughtful, practical support that meets both where they are, builds understanding and confidence, and creates meaningful progress that carries into real life.

Understand the Dog. Empower the Human. Build Lasting Partnerships.

My promise to you:

You won't be judged.
You'll get honest, supportive coaching without shame or blame.

You won't be handed a generic training plan.
We'll look at your dog, your life, and what will actually work for your family.

You won't have to figure it all out at once.
We'll prioritize, break things down, and build skills one step at a time.

You'll learn to understand your dog.
I'll help you recognize what your dog is communicating, what they need, and why their behavior makes sense from their perspective.

You'll learn what to do—not just what not to do.
Training should give you practical tools you can use in real life.

You can expect honesty.
I'll celebrate progress, but I won't sugarcoat challenges or promise quick fixes.

You'll build confidence, too.
My goal isn't simply to train your dog. It's to help you become a more confident, capable partner for your dog.

Progress doesn't have to be perfect.
We'll pay attention to the small wins, learn from setbacks, and adjust as your dog—and your partnership—develop.

Your dog gets a voice. And so do you.  Training should support the relationship, needs, and wellbeing of both ends of the leash.

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Teaching with kind, supportive reinforcement and relationship-focused thinking opens the door to creativity and new possibilities.

I believe some of the best training opportunities are already around us. A walk, a doorway, a park bench, a household routine, or something we encounter unexpectedly can become part of the learning process.

Rather than always looking for something new, we can learn to see what is already there and use it to our advantage.

When we approach training with curiosity and creativity, the environment becomes part of our toolbox—and we often discover that much of what we need to accomplish our goals is right around us already.
