Canine Life Skills Program
I developed this program to address the necessary skills dogs need to prepare them for a successful adoption and attract the right homes. These rescue or shelter dogs have been labeled "harder to adopt" or "unadoptable" with challenging behaviors and sometimes bite histories. In retraining them, I teach them important skills with a focus on meeting all their mental, emotional, physical and social needs through real life training and then seek out the right adoption match. The program focuses not only on getting them ready for adoption but also remaining in the adopting home.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
I am further developing this program to be self sustaining as a non-profit in the future. These dogs need community support to meet their needs and provide this life changing program.
* Each dog receives their own 2hounds freedom harness with training leash. Donate a set OR.....Shop!When products are ordered through my link below, 15% of your purchase will go towards my Canine Life Skills Program for rescue dogs. The proceeds of this program will provide this gear. This is an easy way for anyone to support rehabilitating rescue/shelter dogs.
* Sponsor a dog for their training time and care. Donate monthly, weekly or for specific services. Financial needs will vary for each dog, Training ($75), Reiki session ($50), 2Hounds harness/Leash ($50), enrichment toys, muzzle, treats, and more. Businesses that sponsor or donate a minimum of $200 will receive free advertisement on our social media pages and website.
