Private In Home Training

Service Description

Adult dogs that need basic obedience and manners help at home can benefit from this package, which includes 4 private, in-home lessons with an obedience trainer. Housebreaking, socialization, basic training, jumping on visitors, and getting you and your new dog to live harmoniously will be all handled by our trainers. Private training is time for you and your pup to have individualized and customized training, which can take place in the home or outdoor environment, depending on the skills being taught. These sessions may cover crate or house training, socialization, and basic obedience, as well as any other common house manners or basic behavior concerns. I can help you and your new dog begin to live harmoniously. These sessions can also be useful for teaching new skills like introducing agility, frisbee, water sports or walking skills. ➡️ The first session is 90 minutes and includes a basic assessment, developing training plan with you of behaviors you want to change and teach, we will get started with exercises, and identifying ways to incorporate them into your daily life to decrease stress and pressure for your pup and your household. ➡️ Continued sessions will include assessing progress, areas for improvement and strengths to build on. Training exercises can be adjusted, advanced and added to accommodate the behavior training goals. ➡️ Hand outs for lesson overview, progress tracking and training logs are provided. Handouts on behavior or exercises may be included when appropriate. ➡️Session costs may increase for multiple dogs and travel outside of St. Augustine. Jacksonville rates start at $135. ➡️A reduced rate may be available for eligible non profit rescues and their approved foster homes. ⭐Contact me directly for scheduling availability!

Cancellation Policy

Because there are many dogs both private and rescue, needing help and often in real distress about a serious behavioral problem, it is painful to delay services and then have scheduled appointments cancel last minute or not show up. We hope that you understand the need to ask clients to cancel appointments at least 72 hours before your appointment. The full session fee will be due the same day for no-shows or same day cancellations. You may receive credit for the private session or class/playgroup as a 'rescheduled'. *
